Why Should you love your heart?

Your heart pumps blood throughout your body to keep you alive. As a result, aerobic activities like jogging, biking, and swimming chalenge your heart and make it stronger. The longer and harder you excercise aerobically, the more heart-protective benefits you will earn.

As a result, experts  recommend you to burn a minimum of 1000 calories per week through moderate to vigorous-intensity excercise (equivalent to brisk walking or jogging, respectively) as the single best way to reduce your risk for heart disease through excercise. But if that sounds like a lot, consider this – they say also – even small amounts of excercise can help, with some studies showing heart-health benefits when you burn as few as 500 calories per week.

Zoom whitening

zoom1Zoom is a bleaching process widely used throughout the country and around the world to lighten discoloration of enamel and dentin. Tooth discoloration may result from drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine; or from smoking. The aging process also can stain and darken your teeth.

Zoom whitening is a teeth-bleaching procedure performed in a dentist’s office.

After a hydrogen peroxide gel is applied to the teeth, an overhead lamp delivers UV light to the area, breaking down the activated gel. This allows oxygen to enter the enamel and dentin, bleaching the colored substances while leaving the structure of the teeth intact. Some users experience comfortable procedures, while others have reported a great deal of pain. Treatments typically last about an hour and may result in up to eight shades of improvement.

Zoom Tooth Whitening Consultation and Treatment Planning

Before deciding whether Zoom in-office teeth whitening is right for you, your dentist will conduct a comprehensive examination of your teeth and gums to ensure proper health, as well as talk with you about your oral hygiene and lifestyle habits to determine if you will benefit from whitening.

Depending on the condition of your teeth and your goals for changing the look of your smile, tooth whitening may not be your best option.

During your consultation and evaluation, your dentist also will note existing dental work, such as crowns and veneers, which will not respond to conventional whitening agents.

The Zoom In-Office Whitening Procedure

zoom2The complete procedure takes less than an hour, but a regular teeth cleaning is recommended prior to the actual Zoom teeth whitening session. The procedure begins with a short preparation to cover the lips and gums, leaving the teeth exposed. The dentist or dental assistant then applies the Zoom hydrogen peroxide whitening gel, which works together with the Zoom light to penetrate the teeth and break up the stains and discoloration. The gel remains in place for 15 minutes while the light is activated. During this time, you can relax, watch TV or listen to music.

The gel is applied for three 15-minute sessions of light activation, for a total treatment time of 45 minutes. Individuals with a strong gag reflex or anxiety may have difficulty undergoing the entire procedure. Immediately afterwards, a sensitivity-reducing fluoride paste-gel is applied to the teeth.

Zoom Whitening Aftercare: Maintaining Whitening Effects

To help maintain the whitening effects of your Zoom teeth whitening treatment, your dentist may advise you to avoid certain foods, beverages and cigarettes, or consume them in moderation to avoid staining your teeth. This includes tea, coffee, red wine, cola, etc.

Toothpastes containing whitening agents also may be suggested by your dentist to maintain the results of the procedure.

Zoom Whitening Considerations

As with other tooth whitening products, Zoom whitening is not recommended for children under 13 years of age, or for pregnant or lactating women. Also, it is important to remember that whitening treatment may not be as effective for some people as it is for others. Only your dentist can determine if Zoom teeth whitening is right for you after performing a thorough oral examination that includes a shade assessment.

Small Investigation – What factors make Breast Augmentation price?

Factors which impact on price of Breast Augmentation surgery

  1. Implants make up about 30-35 percent of price. In our market usually can be found Mentor, Allergan, Polytech. They have almost the same price, which can vary by about 10 percent. So, there is no big impact on the cost of the operation if you choose one or another brand of implants.

The differences, however, occur in the form of profile, texture and filling of the implant:

  • Round implants are cheaper than anatomical,
  • The ones which are filled with stiffer gel are more expensive than standard density gel filled or saline.
  • The quality layer (texture), and the type of implant projection (wider or narrower base), etc. make price more or less expensive.

However, these differences are in the range of 200 to 250 Euros (prices of implants are around 600-850 Euros), so it does not significantly affect the final cost of the operation. Yet, you may hear somewhere that the operation was expensive because of larger implants. This is not true! The price of the operation doesn’t depend on the size of the implant. Those of 500 cc cost as much as half less.

Be aware! Small differences in the prices of the implant is a good argument to choose a quality implant because of it depends largely on the aesthetic result of surgery, postoperative course, durability, scars … Well make sure you really get implants that you have agreed with your doctor before surgery. You need to get a stamp from doctor and the serial number of your implant.

  1. Bra: in some hospitals and clinics, surgeons suggest compulsory wearing special bras placed right after surgery to ensure that the implants stay in place. These bras are permanent ownership of patients and many of them are used later during the sports activities.
  1. Laboratory and internal examination: prior to the operation surgeons refer the patient to the laboratory analysis and review internist-cardiologist. In most hospitals, this analysis and review are included in the cost of operations.
  2. In a case something goes wrong:

The cost of re-intervention should be included. Make sure that the clinic you choose accepts such a re-intervention as their duty, without extra charge, and in what timeframe.

  1. Other costs: the patient can hardly have access to the quality of what is as supplies necessary for its operation: anesthesia, quality sutures, drains, etc., so, it is difficult to say how all of this affects to the cost of operations.

Do not let the price decides the clinic you choose for operation. Low price may be a warning to thoroughly check out what you get for that price, or what level of quality you get.

In almost each case less means more.

Always choose experienced, licensed doctor and verified, modern equipped clinic.

studio-660806_1920 Fall is all about skincare: chemical peels, laser skin resurfacing, and facials. But with all the treatment options, it can be difficult to know where to start.

Learn More About Skin Resurfacing

A beautiful, healthy complexion is essential to looking one’s best. When your skin looks smooth, clear and even, this alone will enhance your appearance. Skin resurfacing encompasses a variety of non-surgical treatments designed to renew and revitalize skin with minimal downtime. Learn more about laser treatments, peels and other skin resurfacing options below.

Skin resurfacing treatments help to restore a more youthful, beautiful complexion by removing the most damaged outer layers of skin to reveal the healthier-looking skin beneath and encouraging new, healthy skin cell growth.

images-6As the largest organ we have, our skin serves as the first line of defense, protecting us from wind, sun and debris as well as keeping out would-be microbial invaders. While it’s excellent at its job, over time the outer layers of our skin start to show wear and tear from aging, injury, and environmental factors in the form or wrinkles, scars, age spots and discoloration. Skin resurfacing treatments help to reverse these signs of aging and stress, helping you look younger, and even healthier, in the process.

Cosmetic surgeons use a variety of techniques for skin resurfacing to address a myriad of skin concerns. Choose from the list below to learn more about your options:

  • Laser Skin Resurfacing
  • Chemical Peels
  • Microdermabrasion
  • Dermabrasion

  1. Laser Skin Resurfacing Treatments

Lasers use highly concentrated beams of light energy to improve the skin’s tone, texture and appearance.

How can laser skin resurfacing improve my skin?

  • Minimize fine lines or wrinkles
  • Treat brown spots, redness or discoloration for more balanced skin tone
  • Tighten skin and encourage collagen production
  • Remove acne or surgical scars
  • Remove unwanted facial or body hair

Ablative Lasers

Ablative lasers remove outer layers of skin and encourage new skin to heal in its place. How deep the laser penetrates depends on the wavelength of the light; your cosmetic surgeon will determine the best laser application for you depending on your skin type, your goals, and the nature of the problem you wish to address. Today, more cosmetic surgeons are using fractionated lasers, which only remove a fraction of the skin in the treatment area. This allows the laser to safely penetrate into the deeper layers of skin to achieve more dramatic results with minimal downtime.

Non-Ablative Lasers

Some lasers do not break the skin’s surface; these are called non-ablative. They work instead by heating up the skin below the surface to encourage new collagen growth and help restore the skin’s natural firmness and tone. While they work more gradually than ablative lasers, these treatments typically require no downtime and can have lasting results for rejuvenating the appearance.

The improvements possible with laser resurfacing are long-lasting and can be dramatic, but they will not appear overnight. It takes several months for the full effects of new skin cell and collagen growth to take shape, and residual after-effects of treatment, such as skin that appears pink at the treatment site, can take a few weeks to subside. However, every patient is a little different. Your cosmetic surgeon will help you learn what type of results you might expect from different laser resurfacing treatment options.

  1. Chemical Peels

Another way to resurface the skin is to apply a chemical solution that causes the outer layers of skin to peel away. This is what cosmetic surgeons call a chemical peel. Chemical peels are usually performed in a cosmetic surgeon’s office, either by the cosmetic surgeon or a specially trained aesthetician or nurse. During treatment, a solution is brushed or swabbed onto your skin, where it will be left for a certain period of time. Over the days following treatment, the affected layers of skin will gradually peel away, revealing a smoother, younger-looking complexion.

What improvements can a chemical peel make?

  • Reduce or remove age spots, blotchiness, or discoloration
  • Smooth fine lines & wrinkles on the skin’s surface
  • Minimize or remove acne scars or milder scars from injury or surgery
  • Tighten & tone the skin and brighten the complexion
  • Remove keratoses or precancerous growths

Light vs. Deep Chemical Peels

Depending on the treatment, a peel will often be classified as light, medium, or deep. This refers to how many layers of skin are removed. Light chemical peels will typically reach partially through the epidermis (the outermost layers of skin) and use a milder acid solution such as glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), salicylic acid, fruit enzymes, or a low concentration of trichloroacetic acid (TCA). Light peels can be safely applied by a trained, experienced aesthetician under the supervision of a cosmetic surgeon, and typically involve little to no downtime.

Deeper peels will reach further into the epidermis or even into the next layer, the dermis, and are recommended to address more advanced signs of aging, such as deeper wrinkles and extensive sun damage, or severe acne scars. Examples include phenol peels, stronger TCA peels, and croton oils. While medium to deep peels can produce more dramatic improvements, they are more involved treatments. Anesthesia may be needed to keep a patient comfortable during treatment, and several days of downtime are required to allow the skin to heal optimally.

Your cosmetic surgeon will recommend a peel based on your skin type, the specific issues you want to address, and how deep the peel needs to work to achieve the desired results. After the initial healing period following a chemical peel, some improvements will be immediately noticeable: brighter, tighter-feeling skin and a more even skin tone. However, the effects of a peel are cumulative, and many patients find repeating treatment periodically is needed for optimal results.

3&4. Microdermabrasion & Dermabrasion

A third class of skin resurfacing treatments are those that involve mechanical exfoliation, where an instrument is used to slough off outer layers of skin to remove visible skin damage and reveal smoother, healthier and younger looking skin. Such treatments include microdermabrasion and dermabrasion. While they have similar sounding names, each of these treatments works quite differently.

  1. Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a relatively gentle procedure that can be used on the face, neck, hands or body. During treatment, the area is exfoliated by using a very fine tipped instrument or by applying a fine mist of abrasive particles. The exfoliated skin is then immediately vacuumed away. Unlike some other resurfacing treatments, microdermabrasion is safe for all skin types, carries very little risk for side effects, and requires no downtime.

What can microdermabrasion help improve?

  • Minimize fine lines & wrinkles, such as crow’s feet
  • Help skincare products work more effectively
  • Brighten skin & improve tone
  • Reduce age spots or mild acne scars

Microdermabrasion can be performed in the same sessions as a peel or facial to enhance the results. While immediate improvements are usually noticeable, microdermabrasion treatments are often performed in a series to achieve optimal improvements. It is also essential to protect the treated area from the sun, as skin will be more sensitive to sun damage after microdermabrasion.

  1. Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion is a more powerful mechanical resurfacing technique than microdermabrasion. During treatment, a cosmetic surgeon will use a rapidly rotating instrument or blade to precisely remove skin from the treated area layer by layer until the desired depth. Because it reaches more deeply into the skin’s surface, dermabrasion can affect skin pigmentation, and thus is not recommended for every skin type. Typically, patients will receive a topical anesthetic or local anesthesia to ensure comfort during and after the procedure.

What can dermabrasion help improve?

  • Minimize vertical lip lines, smile lines, or other facial wrinkles
  • Remove acne scars and other blemishes
  • Smooth the skin and balance complexion

The purpose of dermabrasion is to remove enough layers of skin to remove the visible concerns and encourage new cell growth. Therefore, the area will be tender and “raw” after treatment. It is essential to keep the area well protected from the sun and follow your cosmetic surgeon’s instructions for keeping the skin free from infection.

Under the care of a qualified, experienced cosmetic surgeon, skin resurfacing treatments can reverse the visible effects of aging to dramatically enhance a patient’s appearance.
